Psychotherapy
Hi! I’m Rhonda. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of and candidate for certification with the Canadian Association of Play Therapists.
In my work with clients, I use a combination of my experience providing psychotherapy for mental health and child development as well as my own experience overcoming personal and intergenerational adverse experiences. It is a privilege to help clients develop strengths and supports to manage the intense pain that often comes from difficult past experiences or mental health challenges. I feel joy when I see clients of any age manage strong emotions and recognize their own worth.
I provide trauma-informed services to adults, youth and children struggling with mental health challenges. I am passionate about my work with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, strong emotions and survivors of interpersonal and narcissistic abuse. This includes clients who self-harm or present with suicidal thoughts.
I draw from DBT, CBT, Transactional Analysis and Play Therapy melded with mindfulness and somatic approaches.
